A few simple steps before your appointment help your treatment go smoothly and give you the best possible results.
Before your laser hair removal treatment, it’s essential to avoid sun exposure for at least three weeks. Sun exposure can increase the risk of complications, such as burns or pigmentation changes. If you must be in the sun, apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF of 30 or higher. Please remove ALL fake tan and tinted moisturiser.
Before your laser hair removal treatment, shave the treatment area properly the day before your treatment to the skin’s surface. This will help the laser target the hair follicles more effectively, and you’ll have a more comfortable treatment experience. If the hair is too long, this will affect your results and could cause burns.
Avoid waxing or plucking the treatment area for at least four weeks before your laser hair removal treatment. These hair removal methods remove the hair from the follicle, making it impossible for the laser to target the hair follicle effectively.
On the day of your laser hair removal treatment, DO NOT use perfumes, deodorants, moisturiser or makeup in the treatment area. These products can irritate the skin and increase the risk of complications during treatment.
During your laser hair removal treatment, you’ll need to wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the treatment area. Avoid wearing tight clothing that may rub against the treated skin, causing discomfort and a skin reaction (no jeans).

If PCOS is causing unwanted facial hair, you're not alone. We have many clients who experience excessive hair growth associated with PCOS, and we understand how frustrating and time-consuming it can be to constantly shave, pluck or wax.
Laser hair removal can be an important part of managing PCOS-related hair growth, helping to reduce the amount and thickness of unwanted hair over time. While laser can't treat the underlying hormonal cause of PCOS or guarantee permanent removal, it can make ongoing hair management much easier and more manageable.
Every client is different, which is why we start with a consultation and patch test. We'll assess your skin and hair, talk through what you can realistically expect from treatment, and recommend an approach that's right for you.
